Rajeev Thakur named technical papers co-chair for SC11

Rajeev Thakur, computer scientist in Argonne’s Mathematics and Computer Science Division, is co-chair of the Technical Papers Program at SC11. The Technical Papers Program is the lead component of the prestigious SC conference series, which has for many years attracted the international community in high-performance computing, networking, and storage and analysis. Thakur and his co-chair are responsible for ensuring that the scientific papers at SC11 on Nov. 11-13 in Seattle continue SC’s tradition of presenting research results that are both timely and of the highest quality.

Rajeev Thakur is a computer scientist in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory and a senior fellow in the Computation Institute at the University of Chicago/Argonne. He is also an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University. His research interests are in high-performance computing, particularly parallel programming models and message-passing and I/O libraries.
