Computation Institute Lunch Presentation
"Design, Exploitation and Optimization of Medical Imaging Workflows on Production Grids"

DATE: July 16, 2007
TIME: 12:00 pm
SPEAKER: Tristan Glatard, Ph.D. Student, University of Nice Sophia Antipolis
LOCATION: RI405 at UofC & A134, Bldg. 221 at ANL, University of Chicago & Argonne National Lab
HOST: Ian Foster

Description:
After a brief presentation of the medical imaging application on which we are working, we will describe MOTEUR, the grid-enabled Scufl workflow engine that we developed. In particular, an algorithm for the handling of data iteration strategies in a parallel environment will be presented. Then, we will focus on the optimization of the application on production grids. Some experimental results obtained on the EGEE grid will be presented and optimization strategies based on probabilistic models of this infrastructure will be described.

More Information:
Sandwiches will be served at both locations
