Argonne National Laboratory Seminar
"Laboratory Sequencing Program-Opportunities for Whole-Genome, EST and PCR-Based Sequencing"

DATE: July 18, 2007
TIME: 10:00am
SPEAKER: Jerry Tuskan, Oak Ridge National Laboratory
LOCATION: Building 221, Room A216, Argonne National Laboratory
HOST: Rob Edwards

Description:
Jerry Tuskan, head of the new Laboratory Sequencing Program, and a member of the Plant Molecular Ecology Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will present a seminar entitled: Laboratory Sequencing Program-Opportunities for whole-genome, EST and PCR-based sequencing" for ANL researchers on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10:00 am in Building 221 Room A216. In the context of modern molecular biology, the Joint Genome Institute has launched a new program in an effort to meet the DOE laboratory system's needs for sequence data. Fifteen percent of the JGI's annual sequencing capacity will be directed towards these efforts at no cost to DOE-based projects. All project leads, individual PI's and scientific and technical staff interested in sequence-based science should attend.
