LANS Informal Seminar
"Implementation and Use of MonteCarlo Analysis to Support Vehicle Fuel Economy and Performance Simulation"

DATE: September 22, 2008
TIME: 3pm
SPEAKER: Aymeric Rousseau, Transportation Technology R&D Center, Argonne
LOCATION: Building 221 Conference Room A261, Argonne National Laboratory

Description:
PSAT (Powertrain System Analysis Toolkit) is a simulation package developed by ANL to simulate fuel efficiency and performance of advanced vehicles (Hybrids, fuel cells...). PSAT is currently used by more than 100 companies and universities worldwide with more than 350 users. To support some of the studies for DOE focused on forecasting future vehicle fuel efficiencies, we are currently implementing Monte-Carlo Analysis. The processes used as well as some examples of results will be discussed.
