Abdelhalim Amer (Halim) is part of the Programming Models and Runtime Systems group at Argonne. His research focuses on runtime systems and their interaction with threading models on massively parallel systems. He was session chair for the International Workshop on Programming Models and Applications for Multicores and Manycores (PMAM) 2015 and is on the program committee for the international conference on Cloud Computing and Big Data (CCBG 2015).

Halim received his Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
