Laura Zamboni is a 2011 winner of an ASCR Leadership Computing Challenge Award of 40 million hours on the Blue Gene/P -- the first such award to a project led by a postdoctoral appointee.
She is extremely interested in mentoring and is a regular participant in Argonne's Women in Science and Technology program. See a recent blog.
She received her Ph.D. at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy, in collaboration with the University of California, Los Angeles.
