Rob Edwards

Rob Edwards received his Ph.D. in microbial genetics from the University of Sussex, England, in 1994. After postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Illinois, he joined the University of Tennessee; he was director of bioinformatics at the Medical Resource Center from 2001 to 2004 and assistant facility manager of the BSL3 Laboratory from 2003 to 2004. In 2005, Rob joined San Diego State University , where he is currently an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Biology.

At Argonne as a visiting scientist, Rob has been involved in several bioinformatics projects, includeing SEED and MG-RAST.
