Multiresolution, multiphysics simulations are essential for more detailed understanding of galaxies and clusters

The aim of the Computation-Driven Discovery for the Dark Universe project is fourfold:

  • Build next-generation computational cosmology prediction and analysis frameworks for current and future surveys;
  • Explore the physics of dark energy, dark matter, neutrinos and the early universe via large-scale structure probes;
  • Enhance the development of three high-performance cosmology simulation codes (HAAC, ART, and Nyx); and
  • Make full use of DOE’s leadership-class computer systems.

The project has institute partnerships with FASTMath, QUEST and SDAV.
