AbstractBy exploiting the structure of the Jacobian matrix for combined electromechanical-electromagnetic transients simulation, numerically efficient multiphysics solvers can be composed. Three multiphysics solvers: Block-Jacobi, Block-Gauss-Seidel, and Schur-complement based are presented for the implicitly coupled electromechanical and electromagnetic transients simulation. Results for a 9-bus and 118 bus system show the computational efficiency of the proposed multiphysics solvers as compared with direct solution vwith LU factorization.
