I joined MCS in 1994, and have been part of the Futures Laboratory since its inception. Since then, my research has included:
• Design and writing of serial and parallel visualization applications and libraries
• Support of scientists in visualizing the results of their numerical simulations
• Implementation of advanced computer graphics algorithms for volume-rendering and vector field visualization
• Parallel visualization on supercomputers
• Remote visualization over high-speed networks
• Enhancement of off-the-shelf visualization applications
• Visualization in virtual environments and high-resolution tiled displays
• Visualization of mathematical sets and spaces
• Visualization of very large datasets
I currently primarily support the visualization of astrophysical datasets produced by the ASC Flash Center at the University of Chicago.
