My research interests include distributed collaborative computing, peer-to-peer overlay networking, human-centered computing and Grid computing. Since 1999, I have been working on development of scalable, intelligent and user friendly cyber environments for scientific researches. Currently I am building Open Life Science Gateway, to enable the Life Science community to make full use of the TeraGrid resources for computing and data management. Open Life Science Gateway integrates a group of bio-informatics applications and data collections into a portal so that life scientists could easily access the resources of the TeraGrid to submit their Genome-related analysis programs, manage the Petra-bytes of datasets, and visualize protein structures.
