LANS

LANS research objective:
In LANS, we are building on the tradition of excellence begun as early as the 1970s with the development of the numerical software packages EISPACK, LINPACK, FUNPACK, and MINPACK. Our work ranges from algorithm design to development of software tools and technology to advanced simulations in application of interest to DOE.

Examples of LANS projects:

OpenAD/F : A Modular, Open-Source Tool for Automatic Differentiation of Fortran Codes
BioMesh : An All-Hex Meshing Strategy
CSCAPES : Combinatorial Scientific Computing and Petascale Simulations
CCA : Common Component Architecture
Computational Differentiation
CFD : Computational Fluid Dynamics
NEOS : Network-Enabled Optimization System
OpenAnalysis
PETSc : Portable, Extensible Toolkit for Scientific Computation
TAO : Toolkit for Advanced Optimization
