climate modeling

Climate Modeling research objective:
The goals of the Climate Modeling Group are to develop scalable, portable, high-performance climate and weather applications and supporting software infrastructure. We collaborate with other computer and computational scientists to apply new software tools and techniques to climate science.

Examples of Climate Modeling projects:

DMCP : A Data Domain to Model Domain Conversion Package
A Scalable and Extensible Earth System Model for Climate Change Science
Performance Engineering for the Next Generation CCSM
FOAM : The Fast Ocean Atmosphere Model
MCT : The Model Coupling Toolkit
