Long ago and far away I was a developer for SPSS Inc.
Then I moved to the Mathematics and Computer Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory to work in the Futures Lab. While there I helped create the Access Grid.
Now I work with Ian Foster and others in the Globus Alliance on issues related to distributed computing and Globus Software. Highlights of recent work include producing the Globus Toolkit 4.0 release, co-authoring a book on GT4, and talking with users of distributed computing technology to learn more about their requirements.
My current focus revolves around the new Globus data movement service. See it in action:
