Disc golf at Valley View Park, April 18th, 1999

This was the first course that Brian, Dan, Ti and I played on our Wisconsin Gazelle Adventures trip.

Hole 1, where you tee off on top of a hill and throw down to the basket to the left of that building.

This is a view off to the left of hole 1, where there is a shooting range. The course eventually works its way along that ridge in the background, through the woods.

Ti driving on hole 2, which is along the side of a hill.

Heading up the hill towards hole 3 - mostly a distance shot.

Hole 4 is short but cool - the basket is on the far side of a little rise, and is quite tricky to nail on the drive.

Hole 5, alongside a soapbox derby hill, is surprisingly cool, because of the way the basket is hidden in the nook of the hill. If you drive long, you end up on the concrete. If you drive short, you have a tough putt. If you can sneak in from the side, you're golden.

Starting with hole 8, the holes go into dense forest.

The forest holes were all short, but each one turned in a different way, so each had their own challenges.

A shot of the first part of the course, and the parking lot. Here we're looking back over the shooting range from the hill. (And by the way - who the hell thought that merging a shooting range and a disc golf course was a good idea???)

Hole 15 - an uphill drive.

Hole 16 - downhill and into the woods, without being able to see the basket.
