Putting Components Together

This web tour provides access to material concerned with programming in the large: in particular, reusable libraries and parallel algorithm templates.

The WWW Virtual Library on Software Engineering provides access to a range of information sources concerned with program design and software engineering, including a tutorial on object-oriented analysis and design. Another repository provides a lot of information on software maintenance and reengineering.
