I am a Systems Administrator in the Systems Group for the Math & Computer Science (MCS) Division of Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).
I have a B.S. in Computer Science from Andrews University (1986).

Work Activities

I spend most of my time on:

Chiba City - a 300+ node Linux cluster
City - Large Cluster Systems Software Toolkit
Msys - Systems Administration Toolkit
Huxley - a 20 node Alpha Linux cluster
Quad - an 80 node IBM SP
Supporting Oracle8, Postgres, MySQL, and mSQL databases
Supporting OpenPBS, Load-Leveler, and Maui schedulers and resource managers
Providing general Linux and AIX support

Smaller or completed projects include:

Collect and report job accounting and allocations data
Developed a tool for communicating System Support Announcements
Developed a tool for recording System Outages
../Projects/net/www Implemented the MCS booth network at SC97 & SC98
Dabbling a little with Network Administration
