Dane Skow
I am a research scientist, employed by the University of Chicago at Argonne National Laboratory. That means I have more interests than ability
to commit, more commitments than time, and not enough time to keep up with new interesting developments. ;-)

My activities these days break down into the following major areas:
Infrastructure for Collaborative Science
Digital Laboratory
Research
- I've toyed with several testbeds (Facebook, commercial webhosting services, etc) for lightweight support for small/dynamic VOs. Send me mail if you're interested in working on this with me.
- In a previous life, I collected a number of tidbits about datacenter
operations.
Building Grids
- TeraGrid
- TeraGrid WIKI (Where most of the interesting documentation development is happpening)
- The TeraGrid User Portal is home base to most of the tools a user needs for managing their TeraGrid account. Getting better all the time !!
Here's a fun
mashup
of the data available through that system and demonstration of possibilities.
- Dave Hart is working on a very helpful Usage Summary page where you can drill down into
many useful analysis tools/results.
We're now thinking about how to turn this management tool unto services to underly other capabilities/infrastructure.
One of my favorites is TeraGrid This Week.
- Matt Heinzel and Tony Rimovsky and crew are working on
Operations Dashboard capabilities to get an quick overview of how well the TG service are working.
My current favorite is Kate Ericson's
GRAM digester showing where the GRAM services have been used
in the past day.
Open Grid Forum
- GIN (Grid Interoperation Now) is my interest area in this group these days.
