ARIES Compact Stellerator


In this example, the first wall of a compact stellerator fusion device is modeled.  The complicated surface of this device could not be modeled with a traditional Monte Carlo code.

Geometry

Single 3d cell, representing plasma region.  Surface decompositions made to allow tallies at different polloidal and toroidal angles.

Results

Neutron wall loading at various polloidal angles (ordinate) and toroidal angles (different curve).
