Latest Definition of the ADIO Interface

The latest definition of the interface is the same as that in the Frontiers '96 paper (ps file, html), except for the following changes:

The functions ADIO_ReadDone and ADIO_WriteDone now take status and error_code as arguments, similar to ADIO_ReadComplete and ADIO_WriteComplete.

int ADIO_WriteDone(ADIO_Request *request, ADIO_Status *status,int *error_code);
A new function, ADIO_SetInfo, has been added to set the hints associated with a file.

void ADIO_SetInfo(ADIO_File fd, MPI_Info users_info, int *error_code);
A new function, ADIO_FileSysType, has been added. It returns in fstype the type of file system on which the file filename is located.

void ADIO_FileSysType(char *filename, int *fstype, int *error_code);
