Gets the current reference count for any PETSc object.

PetscErrorCode PetscObjectGetReference(PetscObject obj,PetscInt *cnt)

Input Parameter
obj -the PETSc object; this must be cast with (PetscObject), for example,
PetscObjectGetReference((PetscObject)mat,&cnt);
Output Parameter
cnt -the reference count
